Terms of use

Last updated 20 October 2026

Draft for review. This text has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor.

These terms are an agreement between you and Dwain Prendergast, a sole trader trading as MyOfficeDesk ("we", "us") for using MyOfficeDesk. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them, especially sections 5 and 11, which explain what MyOfficeDesk is not and limit our liability.

1. The service

MyOfficeDesk is an online tool that guides you through setting up and running a UK business. It includes a roadmap of missions, a CRM, invoices, compliance date reminders, AI drafting, a knowledge base and related features. Some features are early versions and may change. We may add, change or remove features, and will give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and use MyOfficeDesk for business purposes, for a business you run or are setting up. MyOfficeDesk is not designed for consumers buying for personal use.

3. Your account

4. Plans and payments

The Starter plan is free. Paid plans and add-ons are shown in the Store with their prices. While billing is not switched on, choosing a plan does not charge you. When billing starts, we will show the price, VAT and renewal terms before you pay. Subscriptions renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Fees already paid are not refundable unless the law requires it or we say otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice.

5. Not professional advice

MyOfficeDesk gives general information and helps you prepare. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial or regulatory advice, and we are not your adviser. Rules, thresholds and deadlines change. Check important points on GOV.UK or with a qualified professional before you act.

MyOfficeDesk does not file anything with Companies House, HMRC or any other body for you. You review and submit filings yourself on the official services, and you remain responsible for meeting your legal obligations and deadlines.

Partner offers. Some screens show offers from partners such as Tide (business banking) and Air Landline (business phone numbers). If you sign up with a partner through our link or referral code, we may receive a reward. We only show offers we think are relevant, the partner's own terms apply to anything you sign up for, and you are always free to choose another provider.

6. AI features

AI drafts and answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are drafts for you to check. You are responsible for what you send, file or rely on. Do not put special category data (such as health information) or other people's sensitive data into AI features unless you are entitled to.

7. Your content

You own the information you put into MyOfficeDesk. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can provide the service to you. You can export it at any time and delete it by deleting your account.

8. Data you add about other people

When you store personal data about your customers, leads or staff, you are the controller and we are your processor. We will:

You confirm that you have a lawful basis to process this data and that you have told the people concerned as the law requires.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use MyOfficeDesk to break the law, send spam or unlawful marketing, infringe other people's rights, upload malware, try to access other users' data, overload or probe our systems, or copy, resell or reverse engineer the service. Radio advertising requests must follow the CAP and BCAP advertising codes, and we may refuse any ad.

10. Our intellectual property

MyOfficeDesk, including its software, design, 3D scenes and content, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. Videos and guides in the knowledge base belong to their publishers, such as HMRC, Companies House and the ICO.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. We are also not liable for penalties, interest or losses from missed deadlines or filings, which remain your responsibility. Our total liability under these terms in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and £100.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own records and export backups.

12. Suspension and ending

You can stop using MyOfficeDesk and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or has not paid. We will give notice where reasonable. If we close the service altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it applies. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

14. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, with our privacy notice, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
